Wat Buddhanusorn is a center of Thai Buddhism and Thai culture. The center currently has five monks and four teachers in residence and offers Buddhist teachings, Thai language classes, dance, music, and a summer school for young children.

The proposed project will completely transform this religious/cultural center by adding four classrooms, a community kitchen, and a dormitory for up to nine monks. Together with the existing temple (and a small one-story Victorian residence), these new buildings create a central, landscaped outdoor space for large community gatherings. Added on-site parking (50 spaces), re-directed vehicular and pedestrian circulation, and a generous drop-off area will provide more efficient and safer traffic flow in and out of the property.
